WILMINGTON, N.C. — Three people were fatally shot early Saturday morning and at least four others wounded after a house party in Wilmington, North Carolina, devolved into gunfire, investigators said.
Wilmington Police said the shooting started around midnight, WECT reported.
“There was a house party that was taking place inside of a house,” Police Chief Donny Williams said. “At least seven people inside were shot and three are deceased. They are not being identified until the next of kin has been notified.”
The victim’s condition is unknown.
Police are working to identify suspects and determine a motive.
