MILWAUKEE — A toddler was critically hurt in a shooting at a Milwaukee home over the weekend, authorities said.
According to The Associated Press and WDJT-TV, the incident occurred about 5 p.m. Saturday at a home near the intersection of 38th and Lloyd streets, Milwaukee police said. A 2-year-old boy somehow suffered a gunshot wound, but the circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately clear, the news outlets reported.
The child was hospitalized in critical condition, authorities said.
Police took a man and woman into custody in connection with the shooting, WDJT reported. The incident remains under investigation.
