Recall alert: Hot dog, hamburger buns, rolls recalled, sold at Walmart, Publix

THOMASVILLE, Ga. — Flowers Foods has issued a recall affecting hot dog and hamburger buns sold at a variety of stories across the country.

The company said in a press release that the products could have small pieces of hard plastic, posing a potential choking hazard. There were no reports of illness or injuries connected with the recall.

Consumers with the affected products can return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. If you have questions, call Flowers' Consumer Relations Center at 1-866-245-8921, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT. You can also email the company via an online form at https://www.flowersfoods.com/contact/consumers.

The buns were sold at stores like 7-Eleven, Walmart, Sam's Club, Aldi and IGA, WFMJ reported. The Georgia-based company said the buns were shipped to Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.
