Teen Girls, Man Charged In 5 Lb. Pot Arrest

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Three people were found to be in possession of five pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop for a missing tag light Thursday morning, authorities said.

A Forsyth County deputy pulled over 19-year-old Brittney Rochelle Morris, of Cleveland, Ga., on GA 400 at Peachtree Parkway just before 2 a.m, Forsyth County Sheriff Ted Paxton said.

The deputy said in his report that he smelled marijuana in the car and spotted a piece of the drug where passenger Thomas Michael Sineath, 25, was sitting.

The deputy searched the vehicle and found a large backpack in the trunk with six large plastic bags containing what was suspected to be marijuana, police said.

Morris, Sineath and another passenger, 17-year-old Toni Marie Payette were arrested and charged with marijuana possession. All three were released from the Forsyth County Adult Detention Center on bond Thursday.
