ATLANTA — A new study of America's manliest cities found Atlanta at No. 32 and Charlotte, N.C., at the top of the list.
The study, commissioned by Combos snack foods and research expert Bert Sperling, ranked 50 major metropolitan areas.
The survey used criteria such as the number of home improvement stores, steak houses, pickup trucks and motorcycles per capita according to a news release. The study also took manly occupations into consideration.
Atlanta's ranking did not change from the 2009 study. Last year's top city was Nashville, Tenn. The study said Charlotte, N.C., scored well in several categories including lifestyle, manly retail stores and salty snack sales.
