Channel 2′s Berndt Petersen said these middle schoolers have waited two years for this moment.
The production is called ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and it’s a totally different take on the story.
“The kids are very excited. You know, COVID changed things for everyone,” said Jason Heath, drama teacher.
The last on-stage performance at the school was in 2019. Every student-actor who planned on being in the shows have moved on to high school.

But there’s a new group of 4th through 8th graders and the chance to perform in a musical has inspired the entire campus community.
“Because they weren’t able to do it the last two years, I think it’s more memorable for them. For the school. Because they get to see something they haven’t seen in a long time,” said Destyni Parham, 7th grader.
When the curtain goes up, the students are expecting a packed house. The production is May 26, at 6 p.m.
