ROSWELL, Ga. — Roswell police confirmed a man who barricaded himself inside a home on Elaine Drive in Roswell has been taken into custody.
Police said a relative called police and was concerned about the safety of the man inside the house after receiving a phone call from him.
Police closed streets in the area and requested a SWAT unit and negotiator just before 5 p.m. Monday.
When officers arrived at the home, they heard shots being fired from inside. Police are not sure if the gunshots were aimed at them.
Police said the man had threatened to shoot anyone who came close to the home.
The man was taken into custody just before 5:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.
