ATLANTA — Rapper T.I. has been sued by a recording studio technician who blames the artist for not stopping an attack inside a studio that T.I. owns.
The lawsuit filed by Norris Gresham names the rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, and five others as responsible for a Sept. 8 assault at Echo Studios. Gresham said T.I. was not there at the time, but he received electronic messages about the attack while it was ongoing.
Gresham alleges that a dispute erupted when one man named in the suit couldn't find a necklace. Gresham said he was held captive for 12 hours, threatened with a gun, then pushed down stairs and beaten.
T.I. publicist Sydney Margetson declined to comment on the lawsuit.
