Pence is set to visit the Rock Springs Church in Milner on Jan. 4.

“There, the Vice President will highlight the historic accomplishments of the Trump Administration with the help of Senate Republicans, along with the importance of fighting for conservative legislators at a Georgia Faith Community Call to Action,” officials said in a release.

On Jan. 5, Georgia will decide who holds two Senate seats that will determine the balance of power in Washington as President-elect Joe Biden begins his term.

Republican incumbents Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue are up against Democratic challengers Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff.

Republicans need one victory to maintain their Senate majority. Democrats need a Georgia sweep to force a 50-50 Senate and position Vice President-elect Kamala Harris as the tiebreaking vote.

President Trump is also set to visit Georgia on the eve of the election. Trump will speak at a rally in Dalton, Georgia on Monday night.

The Republican National Committee is calling the event a “victory rally.” Trump, Perdue, Loeffler and candidate for Public Service Commissioner Lauren “Bubba” McDonald are all slated to speak.
