ATLANTA — Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed a state of emergency in reaction to ongoing supply chain disruptions. The order goes into effect Saturday.
“Despite the state’s successful mitigation of the public health impacts of COVID-19, Georgia supply chain has yet to fully recover and is still experiencing severe disruptions,” the order says.

It also temporarily suspends limitations on truck driver work hours in the state, though it does state that “ill or fatigued” drivers cannot be required to drive.
The order prohibits price gouging of goods and services, including gasoline.

The order will last for 30 days unless renewed by Kemp.
