ATLANTA — A woman dressed in a nightgown and shower cap shot and killed her husband on a Midtown Atlanta street early Tuesday morning, according to police.
Investigators said the slaying took place in front of several witnesses on a sidewalk on North Avenue.
"We heard five gunshots," said witness Keenan Harris.
Police spotted the woman walking along North Avenue toward Georgia Tech.
When officers stopped her, they found a handgun in her pocket, according to police.
Harris said he tried to help the victim
"When I got up there by him, he was already dead," said Harris.
Detectives said an argument between the couple triggered the shooting.
