Police Search For Missing Forsyth Woman

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Loved ones of a missing Forsyth County woman said they will likely spend the weekend looking for her.

Laurie Sheppa left home on Goldmine Drive on Aug. 19, and no one has seen her since.

Deputies searched for her again Thursday.

Family members said they are especially concerned because the 49-year-old woman does not have her diabetes medicine.

"She has struggles with bipolar disease. She's depressed at times. But we think in the last year that she's come a long way," said Sheppa's brother-in-law, James Drake.

The family said it is out of character for her to just leave.

Police said there is no indication of foul play.

Anyone with any information about her whereabouts is asked to call police.
