WOODSTOCK, Ga. — A Woodstock police officer was arrested after authorities said he attacked his wife.
Officer Kenyatta Hillman, 31, was involved in an altercation with his 23-year-old wife, Zully, at their home on Love Lane on Tuesday morning, Cherokee County sheriff's Lt. Jay Baker said in a news release.
During the fight, Zully Hillman suffered minor injuries to her elbow and neck, Baker said. Hillman was arrested on battery and obstruction of a 911 call charges.
The officer was transported to the Cherokee Adult Detention Center and later released on $100 bond. He has been placed on administrative leave with pay while the Woodstock Police Department conducts an internal investigation, Baker said. He said the Sheriff's Office is also investigating the incident.
