ATLANTA,None — Atlanta Police are warning residents of Northeast Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward neighborhood to take extra precautions after they say the same three men committed two armed robberies within 35 minutes of each other.
Zone Five commander Maj. Chris Leighty put out the warning in an effort to remind people to be careful.
"I believe an informed public is a safer public," said Leighty.
Investigators said three men held up a person in the 600 block of Ralph McGill Blvd. Tuesday night as they pulled groceries out of their car and began taking them inside their home.
Then, 35-minutes later, investigators believe the same three men robbed two people as they sat in their car in the 180 block of Jackson Street barely a mile away. They got away with a laptop and cash.
Police want to find out if these three bandits are the same men who robbed and shot a skateboarder on Decatur Street over the weekend.

Leighty said these men should be considered very dangerous.
"It's not just these three guys, but it's anybody in the city who's willing to put a gun in someone's face," said Leighty.
Leighty said APD is flooding Old Fourth Ward with uniformed and undercover officers in an attempt to catch these criminals and others. He said he's seen a spike in these kinds of crimes now that the holiday season is upon us. He cautions people everywhere to take more care when stepping out of their car.
"Once you get out, look around and see what your surroundings are like," said Leighty. "If you see something that you don't like, always get in your car and continue to drive or go into your place of residence and then call 911."
Leighty added they just made an arrest Wednesday night they hope will lead to a break in the case.
