ALPHARETTA, Ga.,None — Alpharetta Police said a curious neighbor helped them catch two teenagers suspected of breaking into a half-dozen homes.
Aaron Price told Channel 2's Mike Petchenik the thieves kicked in a door and ransacked their home while she was in the shower.
"Everything was trashed and we're missing a bunch of stuff," Price said. Robbers took a flat screen right off the wall and stole paintball equipment.
It was that break-in that motivated Price's neighbor, Pam King, to be a little more vigilant. King told police she was driving to the store when she noticed a car without its lights on sitting in front of a house.
"I realized very quickly they don't belong here," King told Petchenik.
King said she followed the vehicle but didn't have a pen to write down the license plate. "We had to memorize over and over again," she said.
King said police tracked the tag to a man who had tried to register an iPhone stolen in another nearby burglary.
Police arrested Thomas Williams III, 18, and Jaiquan Lynch, 17. Officers told Petchenik the men confessed to six burglaries in the Crabapple and Mid Broadwell Road areas.
Both men remain in jail on burglary charges. They are expected before a judge in January.
