HOUSTON — A middle school teacher is facing charges after allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old student.
Alexandria Vera was charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child, according to KTRK-TV.
According to court documents released to KTRK, Vera first met the boy, who was a student in her eighth grade English class, during summer school.
Vera claimed she and the teen are in love, and she's been introduced to his family as his girlfriend, court documents state. The boy's parents were reportedly accepting of the relationship, including Vera in family gatherings.
