ATLANTA — With La Nina weakening, north Georgia's weather is forecast to take a turn towards "normal," according to Channel 2 meteorologist David Chandley.
That is good news for areas looking for rain. Statistically, March is the region's wettest month, with an average of 5.38 inches of rain.
"The outlook for the month is neither wet nor dry, we have an equal chance at both," Chandley said.
In terms of temperatures, March is a month of transition from cool to mild. The areas average highs will rise from 61 degrees at the beginning of the month, to 69 degrees by the end of the month, Chandley said. Overnight lows are expected to rise from 40 degrees to 47 degrees.
