A preliminary investigation suggests that a medical condition might have played a role in Cole losing control of his small Ford vehicle while he was traveling south on the interstate. After the car went off the interstate, it went through two walls of a building being leased by Millenial Machine, a tool and die company. The car came to rest approximately 300 feet away from where went off the interstate, Richardson said.
The accident left two large holes in the buildings walls.
There were no witnesses to the accident, but a passerby called 911 after noticing the Fords tail lights in the building, owned by Bobcat of Dayton.
Cole was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead inside the emergency room at 4:10 a.m.
