DEKALB COUNTY, Ga.,None — Police said a man accused of being a fake pharmacist is facing felony charges.
CVS said Jonas Mireku used a fake license to get a job at the pharmacy on Covington Highway in Lithonia.
CVS officials said they use an electronic system to ensure all employees are properly licensed, but when they discovered Mierku falsified his pharmacist license, they notified police.
A DeKalb County police warrant said two pharmacy technicians singled him out to police as the pharmacist on duty, but police said he lacked a license. Documents showed he was licensed as a pharmacy technician in Connecticut.
The warrant does not say if any customers had issues.
Mireku is being held at the DeKalb County Jail.
Police are also looking into whether he worked in Newton County.
