WEST POINT, Ga. — A 57-year-old man died was killed Tuesday in an industrial accident at the Kia Plant in West Point.
West Point police identified the victim as John Dunnivant of Lanett, Alabama.
Police say they were notified of the accident just after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The West Point Police Department, Kia and the Occupational Ssafety and Health Administration are investigating.
The plant cancelled the second and third production shifts for the day. All shifts are scheduled to resume the normal work schedule Wednesday, Oct. 8.
