ATLANTA — A woman survived a fall onto MARTA train tracks Monday morning.
MARTA officials say the 47-year-old woman was waiting on the northbound platform of Lenox station around 11:45 a.m. when she suffered a medical emergency and fell onto the tracks.
The woman landed on a crawl space under the platform, preventing her from being hit by an approaching train, MARTA said.
The Lenox MARTA station remained closed as of 12:30 p.m. Passengers can take a bus from Chamblee to Lindbergh stations.
The woman was taken to Piedmont Healthcare in good condition.
