NORTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A woman is accused of killing the woman she rented a room from in Sandy Springs.
Police said they were called to a home on Fawndale Way on April 5, after someone called 911 about a disturbance. When officers arrived, they found 59-year-old Chelci Chisholm suspect in the garage “holding an object and challenging officers.”

After a brief struggle, officers were able to take Chisholm into custody.
As officers went into the home to investigate, they found the lifeless body of 73-year-old Marlene Diane Colon inside a room with “visible injuries.” She was pronounced dead.
Detectives learned Chisholm rented a room in the Colon’s home.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
Chisholm is facing charges of malice murder, aggravated assault and obstruction.
