LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — This week, Walmart is trying to fill 85 jobs for its newest location in Gwinnett County.
Georgia's first Walmart neighborhood market will occupy the spot where a former grocery store on Lawrenceville Highway in Lawrenceville once stood.
On Thursday, Channel 2's Kerry Kavanaugh found job seekers at the hiring center filling out applications and getting interviewed on the spot.
"It's a great opportunity, not only that additional employment, but also for a service," store manager Greg Toler said.
To facilitate applications, the retailer has opened a temporary hiring center at 2449 Lawrenceville Highway, Suite 104 in the Paden Station Shopping Center. The hiring center will continue accepting applications from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., through Friday. To apply online, visit www.careers.walmart.com.
