ATLANTA — Delta Airlines is serious about the safety of those that fly with the carrier. The airline has compiled a list of almost 700 people with a “No Fly” status for violating mask wearing policies.
Employees of Delta were made aware of the number of passengers with a “No Fly” status in a memo sent by CEO Ed Bastian this week.
“Our essential safety steps will be more important than ever in the winter months,” Bastian said in a letter to employees. “Our mandatory mask policy continues to be one of our most important safety tools

Although 700 may seem like a lot of passengers, it’s a fraction of the 1 million that fly with Delta weekly.
In addition to the support of the mask policy, the airline is also continuing to block middle seats on all flights through March of 2021.
Bastian also told employees that Delta is ready to “play and active role in effectively and quickly transporting vaccines at home and around the world.”
“T that end, we’ve refined our pharmaceutical delivery protocols to ensure safe and swift distribution of vaccines as they reach final approval,” Bastian said.
