BIBB COUNTY, Ga. — A man was arrested after Georgia deputies said he fled a traffic stop earlier this month.

It happened on Dec. 6. According to Bibb County officials, deputies spotted a driver of a silver SUV ignore a stoplight in downtown Macon. The sheriff’s office said as deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver, identified as Carlos Orlando Myrick, 37, sped away.
Dashcam video shows deputies following Myrick, before appearing to conduct a PIT maneuver to stop Myrick from turning onto the Interstate 75 exit ramp.

The BCSO said Myrick was intoxicated and the car was uninsured. He was arrested and booked into the Bibb County Jail.
A female passenger was taken to a local hospital for observation.
Myrick faces several charges including driving under the influence, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer for a felony offense, and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
