Woman attacked, robbed outside DeKalb County bank

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police are searching for a man who attacked a woman outside of a DeKalb County bank.

Surveillance video released by police showed the woman getting into her car after making a transaction for her business at the Wells Fargo on North Druid Hills Road on Feb. 22.

A man then approached the woman and tapped her on the shoulder and said, “Excuse me.” When she turned around, police say the man then grabbed the bank bag she was carrying.

The two then struggled, falling into a bush and on the entrance of the bank. The man then got a hold of the bag and ran.

The woman told police the man ran across the street and into the passenger side of a black car parked in the parking lot of the Office Depot/Toco Hills Plaza.

The car then drove toward Lavista Road.

The victim told police the bag had between $800 and $1,100.

The suspect is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds. He was wearing a dark jacket and dark pants and had a black skull hat.
