ATLANTA — Atlanta police say a man is under arrest after he held a rideshare driver at gunpoint after an argument over cigarettes.
The incident happened on Nov. 27 when the driver said 34-year-old Keith Long got upset with him when he did not have any cigarettes for him. At that point, police said Long pulled out two handguns and demanded the driver to keep driving or he would be shot.

The rideshare driver drove to the area of 294 Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard where he was able to escape and call police.
When officers arrived, they found a man matching the description of Long in the area. As they approached him, police said Long ran off and officers began to chase after him. After a short chase, officers were able to arrest him. The chase was captured on bodycam video and released by Atlanta police.
Police said they found a backpack belonging to Long, which they said had a variety of drugs inside, including: marijuana, MDMA, oxycodone, meth, bath salt, cocaine and cough syrup.

Long was charged with aggravated assault, hijacking a motor vehicle, robbery, battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and trafficking narcotics. Long was evaluated at Grady Hospital before being transported to the Fulton County Jail.
