CLARKE COUNTY, Ga. — The University of Georgia held a memorial service for all of the students and faculty they've lost in the past year.
This year has taken a toll on the UGA family – and tonight they're going to reflect on those lost.
Twelve faculty members and 15 students passed away in the past year, including four young ladies killed in a tragic crash -- Brittany Feldman, Christina Semeria, Halle Scott and Kayla Canedo. %

"It's been really tough going on a week here and we're winding up the semester so there's a lot of emotions just with that," assistant athletic director Steve Flippen said.
Flippen came to remember faculty member Joseph Lowe, but says the loss of four young students is in everyone's thoughts, even the thoughts of those soon to be graduates.
"Even taking pictures and the arch having the ribbon there, it really just puts everything together," student Jimena Vergas said.
"It's been really awesome to be on campus and kind of see people who didn't know them, to band together and just support those who are feeling very emotional at this time," Kendreya Skinner said.
People like Emily Phipps knew some of the victims.
"They are our age and it reminds you of just the fragility of life and that anything can happen at any moment," Phipps said.
For now, students balance the euphoria of graduation and the end of the semester with the heartache of this tragedy.
"I think, for a lot of people, the first time they're experiencing grief in a really personal way so I feel lucky to be part of a community that knows how to lean on each other," Phipps said.
