2 UGA players arrested after SEC Championship game

BARROW COUNTY, Ga. — Georgia Bulldogs starting linebacker Natrez Patrick and reserve wide receiver Jayson Stanley were arrested late Saturday following the Bulldogs’ win over Auburn in the SEC Championship, according to jail records.

Barrow County sheriff's officials told Channel 2 Action News Patrick was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana charge, while Stanley was arrested for DUI, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and speeding. The arrest was Patrick's third drug related arrest after being arrested for another misdemeanor drug charge earlier this season, which led to suspension.

Two years ago, Patrick and then-teammate Chauncey Rivers were arrested for possession of marijuana. Patrick served a one-game suspension.
