SNELLVILLE, Ga. — Customers ducked for cover during a brazen and dangerous shootout right in front of a local QT gas station.

Police released surveillance video of two men shooting as customers hit the ground Sunday about 6:30 p.m. in south Gwinnett County.

The gas station on Highway 124 was packed with customers at the time of the shooting.

The video showed a white SUV backed into a parking spot near the front door of the store. A man got out and began talking to people inside a silver car nearby, and after a couple of minutes the car sped away and mayhem broke out.

Two gunmen fired more than a dozen bullets in a matter of seconds.

Drivers ducked behind cars at the pumps and one woman was so scared she forgot to shut off the gas before leaving. Near the door, two men hid in front of their vehicles as the shooters ran through the parking lot before jumping back in their white SUV and taking off.

Channel 2's Tony Thomas spoke to one of the witnesses, who was actually hit by one of the bullets.

"I knew I was shot. I waited, I stood up and finished pumping my gas. I put the pump back and I said, 'Honey don't panic but I've been shot,'" the victim said.

Police say it is some of the clearest surveillance video they've ever seen and hope someone will call and give them the names of the shooters.

The victim says a fragmented bullet gave him several cuts and one large whole in his foot, but he's back up and around. After Thomas showed him the surveillance video, he said he was even more amazed no one else had been hurt.

"They have no sense for other people's lives or other people getting hurt," the victim said.
