Tree crashes Marietta church service… literally

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — You’ve heard of wedding crashers. Well, we’d like to introduce you to a church crasher.

And don’t worry, you’ll leave with a smile on your face.

The Marietta First Church of the Nazarene posted video on its Facebook page of an unusual thing that happened at its last Sunday service. During a performance of ‘Open Up The Heavens,’ a small artificial tree standing behind the drummer of the praise band apparently got a little too into the song.

The ficus fell onto the drummer.

At first he tried to keep on playing with the song, but the tree’s bushy branches caused him to struggle to upright back to its position.

But like true musicians, the band played on!

The church had a little fun with the video. In the caption on it’s Facebook post, the church said: “In case you missed the excitement in service today, here’s a close up of Tom’s struggle with the tree. We have to give Tom some serious props for his great recovery on this one. Nice job, Tom!”
