ATLANTA — A boy is safe after a SWAT situation in southwest Atlanta.
The SWAT team was outside a home on Quaker Street, near Baxter Street, early Monday morning. Police believed there was a man with a gun inside, but when the SWAT team entered the home, they did not find him.
A family member told police that her cousin had pointed a gun at her head during a custody dispite.
Officers began arriving at the home around 2:30 a.m. Police told Channel 2's Sophia Choi the boy is now out of the home and safe.
Family members told Choi the boy is a cousin of the armed man inside.
