ATLANTA — A busy highway is back open following a wrong-way crash that injured a woman.
Police said the driver hit the victim head-on Saturday morning. He's now in custody.
The crash happened on Langford Parkway westbound, near the Greenbriar Parkway exit. The suspected drunk driver used the exit ramp as an entrance going the wrong-way.
Officials tell Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach he only made it less than a mile headed east in the westbound lanes before crashing into another car.
The woman driving the other car was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Atlanta police said the suspected drunk driver wasn’t hurt very badly, and he even got out and tried to run away, but officers quickly apprehended him.
“He was alright, because he got out and tried to leave the scene,” Lt. Jeff Cantin said. “He tried to run on foot, just a little bit, not too far, because he was shaken up a little bit.”
