Sunday staying hot, mostly sunny, stray shower possible

Sunday in the metro Atlanta area is sunny and hot, with the high near 90.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Eboni Deon says a stray shower or storm is possible, too.

Looking forward, the metro area has a hot week ahead, with highs in the mid 90s and feel like temps between 100 and 105.

Deon said it’ll stay mainly dry through Thursday before scattered rain and storms return Friday and Saturday.

Severe Weather Team 2 is keeping an eye on an area of low pressure in the Gulf for possible tropical development.

As of Sunday, Deon said it looks like the system will be heading through the northwestern Gulf.

Severe Weather Team 2 is also monitoring the remnants of Dolly for possible development.
