The search happened Oct. 14 at a home on Hathaway Court near Kennesaw, following a three-month investigation, according to arrest warrants.
One neighbor described a frightening scene as officers arrived with an armored sheriff’s vehicle and SWAT vehicles.
“It was really scary. Some of the SWAT cars like parked in our driveway because there wasn’t enough room,” neighbor Grace Yu said.
According to arrest warrants, investigators stopped Ashton Hughes after he drove away from the home, then searched the house.

Inside, agents say they found suitcases filled with marijuana and nearly 15 additional pounds in a bedroom identified as Hughes’ room. The warrant also lists a rifle, THC gummies and more than $56,000 in cash among the items found.
When investigators asked Hughes why he was selling marijuana, he reportedly told them he had “bills to be paid.” Hughes now faces drug trafficking charges, according to the report.
Investigators say two other people, Miliana Bilavarn and Nathaniel Bush, were found in another bedroom with about two pounds of packaged marijuana next to the bed.
All three face drug charges, according to the warrants.
Yu said she was relieved the situation ended without anyone being hurt.
“I’m glad that like everything is good now, and you know nothing is like nobody was harmed or anything,” she said.
