ATLANTA — Scattered rain and storms are expected to move out of north Georgia throughout the night Monday, following a wet, stormy day.

A line of intense storms to our east ended up suspending practice rounds at Augusta National this afternoon as the storms moved across that area.

Another cold front moving in will cause the redevelopment of more rain and storms Tuesday.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz said the scattered showers will continue throughout the evening Monday and into Tuesday morning.

"We'll have a few hit-or-miss showers overnight into tomorrow morning," Nitz said. "I would plan for some scattered showers and some wet spots on the road for your morning commute."

The storms will intensify throughout the afternoon.

A cold front will the move in Tuesday evening, pushing out the rain and bringing in some drier air to the metro.

Wednesday and Thursday are supposed to be dry with highs near 80.

The next chance for rain will come on Friday.
