The team said the upgrade will help fans share content, get real-time stats and move through the arena with better connectivity. It also said staff will get secure and reliable performance for ticketing and point-of-sale systems.
“This partnership strengthens our foundational backbone to deliver exceptional experiences for fans, artists and guests,” said Kim Rometo, executive vice president and chief technology and innovations officer for the arena and Hawks.

The Hawks also said they will unveil the State Farm Arena Production Command Center powered by Cisco as a year-round hub for live entertainment and production teams.
“Atlanta is one of the most innovative cities in the country and the Hawks are constantly challenging what a modern sports and entertainment experience can look like,” said Anne Ristau, head of global sponsorships at Cisco.
The upgrades are already completed in time for the Hawks home opener next week. Atlanta will host the Houston Rockets at 8:30 p.m.
The game time was shifted back so the Atlanta Dream could host Game 4 of the WNBA Finals at State Farm Arena.
