SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police say celebratory gunfire is to blame for stray bullets that went through a woman’s home.

Bullets went through a home on Fledspar Way in south Fulton County around 2:00 a.m. Sunday.

Homeowner Pamela Shirley said she heard four sets of gunshots.

Fulton County police were out Sunday collecting shell casings.

“I was so scared. Everybody was so scared. We wouldn’t turn the light on, and I’m like, ‘Boy these people are crazy,’” she said.

Channel 2’s Matt Johnson went to Shirley’s home and she showed him where the bullets hit the wall and pierced her china cabinet.

Shirley said none of the four people home at the time were hurt by the gunfire.

“Anybody could get killed and I consider myself lucky,” she said.

Shirley said she wants people to think twice before recklessly firing their guns.

“Be careful. You never know. Innocent people will get caught in the craziness,” she said.

Fulton County police said the search for whoever pulled the trigger is ongoing.

Police warn celebratory gunfire can be a misdemeanor offense and carry a $1,000 fine.
