SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: The restaurant was re-inspected and received a 90.

A new restaurant in South Fulton County failed its health inspection.

The Crab Spot is on Virginia Avenue in Hapeville. Seafood, sushi and Thai are the types of food the restaurant advertises it serves.

The Crab Spot failed its health inspection on Nov. 8.

The Crab Spot just opened in August. It fell from an opening health inspection score of 98 to a 44 on Nov. 8.

Violations included observed shrimp not held cold enough, failure to properly mark dates on food in the cooler and failure to properly thaw sausage.

Channel 2’s Carol Sbarge went to The Crab Spot to ask about the violations. The general manager told Sbarge she was having an intervention meeting with the Fulton County Health Department to go over everything.
