UNION CITY, Ga. — Two people were injured in a fire Thursday morning that burned down an entire building at a Union City apartment complex.
The fire broke out at the Ashford Summit apartments along Oakley Road around 8 a.m.
A witness told Channel 2 Action News that flames shot 40-50 feet in the air at the height of the fire.
NewsChopper 2 flew over the scene and showed pictures of a shell of the building left from the fire.

Officials said everyone from the building has been accounted for.
One person was taken to Grandy Memorial Hospital for burns. Another person was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for cuts from broken glass and smoke inhalation.
The Red Cross is currently helping out 19 residents with temporary housing.
Firefighters said they continue to put out hotspots.
