Snellville police K-9 dog passes away

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — The Snellville Police Department announced on its Facebook page that one of its police K-9 died.
 
The dog, named Euro, served in the Snellville police K-9 unit for 7 years. He began in 2004 and retired on Dec. 31, 2011.
 
In retirement, Euro lived at home with his handler, Ofc. Dennis Peters, and his family.
 
The police department said Euro was a loyal servant to the citizens of Snellville, and he will be missed.
