Showers, storms move through metro Atlanta

ATLANTA — Showers and storms are moving through metro Atlanta and will be for the next couple hours.

The line of showers and storms can produce lightning, heavy rain, and wind gusts up to 40 to 50 mph.

"Isolated severe storms are possible. A brief, spin-up tornado cannot be ruled out," Meteorologist Katie Walls said.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz warns you're going to start seeing snowfall forecasts for next week from some sources. One model shows light snow, but another has only less rain (and temperatures in the 50s) at the same time. Nitz reminds viewers to use caution.

Once the line moves through metro Atlanta, there will be moderate showers into the afternoon.
