Shots fired at driver along busy road in metro Atlanta in a possibly unprovoked attack

ROSWELL, Ga. — Roswell police are looking for help in identifying who fired shots at another driver along the roadway in Roswell.

Roswell police said on June 4 just after 9 a.m. they responded to a call of shots fired. The incident happened near the intersection of Old Roswell Road and Holcomb Bridge Road.

Police at the scene noticed a van with obvious damage from gunfire stopped on the southbound lanes of Old Roswell Road. The driver was uninjured and the only person in the vehicle.

Investigators believe a grey sedan pulled up the right side of the van and fired at least one shot into vehicle. The suspected shooter is described as a black male with a twist hairstyle.

It is believed that the shooter drove westbound on Holcomb Bridge road after the incident.

Police say that there was not an exchange of words between drivers or aggressive driving prior to the shooting.
