CLAREMORE, Okla. — Police are responding to a shooting incident on the campus of Rogers State University in Claremore, OK.
Officers told FOX23, WSB-TV's sister station, that one man fired off several rounds at a building and then killed himself.
The school was put on lockdown. Students were told to stay where they were.
Police said the incident happened near Preparatory Hall. Claremore officers told FOX23 a woman called to report a suicidal man and another call came into dispatch from a student inside a building saying someone was shooting at the building.
"We received a call of multiple shots fired on campus. Several agencied aided us including RSU Campus Police. One deceased subject has been located," said Lt. Chuch Goad with Claremore police.
Police said the person fired several rounds before killing himself.
