ATLANTA — Burglars tied up a security guard with a hair dryer cord while they ransacked two units at the Camden Midtown Apartments.
That security guard was well aware that burglars have been targeting the building for months.
Channel 2's Tyisha Fernandes discovered most of the units burglarized were corner units.
Jim Moulton has lived in a corner apartment at the Camden Midtown Apartment complex for almost two years.
He was alarmed to hear the details of a burglary where the building security was tied up with an electrical cord Friday night.
That security guard spoke with Fernandes over the phone.
" A guy came out, pointed a gun at me, and told me to come outside and told me to go into the bedroom, then another guy in there pulled his gun out and they told me to get on the ground, don't say a word. They tied me up," the security guard said.
The victim says her apartment was burglarized just before noon on Friday.
"I'm not surprised at all given the amount of break ins we've had in there in the past six months," the victim said.
Other victims from the Camden Midtown Apartment complex says the property managers need to do something to prevent them.
"I'm told that we're gonna have some sort of resident meeting to discuss this," another burglary victim said.
