The FBI has released photos of the suspect, but they still don’t know who he is. And that means the FBI still don’t know what his intentions were.
The ICE office is located along Ted Turner Drive, accessible to passersby. Agents believe the suspect they’re looking for walked up, threw the firebomb, then walked away.
Tuesday night around 8 p.m. FBI agents say the suspect threw a Molotov cocktail over the fence with a lighter also left behind.

“We’re grateful that it was minimal damage but absolutely his intention - my assumption would be, was to create a fire - set the building on fire - which again endanger the community and endangers the firefighters for the city of Atlanta,” said Shawn Matthews, the FBI agent leading the case.
Agents are offering a $20,000 reward to anyone who can help identify the suspect shown in surveillance photos.
“Our goal is to capture the individual before he does something else like this that may endanger folks as well,” said Matthews. “It doesn’t matter whether it’s an ICE building or any other building in the city of Atlanta.”
