PUTNAM COUNTY, Ga. — Water has been restored to homes and businesses following a water main break in Putnam County.
The break in the Eatonton Putnam Water & Sewer Authority System happened off Hambone Holle Drive in the city of Eatonton.
The break resulted in a total water outage for most residents and businesses inside the city limits, according to Sheriff Howard R. Sills.
Putnam County Schools and Gatewood Schools closed for students Tuesday due to the water main break.
The water main repairs were completed early Tuesday morning. The boil water advisory was lifted Wednesday before noon.
