CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga.,None — A Clayton County school board member is accused of downloading pornography onto her district-issued computer.
District 7 member Trinia Garrett came under fire at a board meeting last week over inappropriate downloads, though school officials declined to elaborate on their exact contents. She is now set to appear at a special hearing to face accusations that she downloaded pornography from more than 60 websites.
The discovery stemmed from an investigation of district equipment last year. Garrett has denied the allegations. At last week's meeting, she asked for someone outside the district to re-examine her computer.
"I just want it to be examined by somebody that is not affiliated with Clayton County. That's what I want, and I deserve that," she said.
Her next hearing is scheduled for Jan. 23.
