Sandy Springs police officer rescues baby squirrel that fell from nest

SANDY SPRINGS — This is the most adorable story we’ve seen all day.

A Sandy Springs officer who heard something that sounded like crying outside of police headquarters got a tiny surprise.

When the officer went out to investigate, he found a baby squirrel that had fallen from its nest.

The officer, whom police have not identified, took it upon himself to bottle-feed his new pal for a few days before he was able to find a wildlife rescue organization.

An adorably cute video shared by Sandy Springs Police Department shows the officer nursing the baby back to health. The squirrel showed his appreciation by curling up in the officers hands for a snooze.
