Residents express concerns at Braves town hall meeting

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb Citizens for Governmental Transparency hosted its first of a series of town hall meetings on the plan in Marietta.

Many people said they are against building a new Braves ballpark.

He said, "You can't get to the grocery store and doctor's appointments, but yet now because the Braves are coming to town you're willing to spend $900,000."

The proposed site is at Circle 75 Parkway.

One man talked about the need for transit, before all this.

The big complaint Tuesday night is residents said leaders pushed the proposal through too quickly.

The new stadium is expected to open in 2017.
